Controversy strikes the Gold Jacket

A massive talking point from the 2020 trip to Northland was Mulvey winning on the day but being subsequently stripped of his title due to handicap fraud. This passed the jacket to a well deserved winner in Rosco and ensured that the gold jacket again went to a first time winner.

Jocks rule, Nerds drool

In a somewhat predictable outcome, the Jocks led from the outset and never gave up the lead despite fatigue affecting a number of the members in the singles. Winning undies had been purchased and were worn with pride that night.

Course Ratings

Waipu was the first stop for the bus after leaving Auckland full to the brim with 20 pumped up lads. Boozing seemed under control for most and resulted in some good scoring. Course was sandy resulting in some tough lies mid-fairway, but the weather and the excitement prevailed over all else.

Kauri Cliffs was an unforgettable experience. From the free toiletries to the half-time hospitality on top of a magificent golf course, this did not disappoint.

Kerikeri is a nice little track with few features and sapping heat. Good value for money but was always going to struggle to impress after the heights of Friday at Kauri.
